St. Luke's to St. Anne's Chapel - Winter Flight posted by radon360
St. Luke's Catholic Church is located in Plain, Wisconsin. On the top of the hill, just West of the church is St. Anne's Chapel, constructed during the mid 1920's. The 14 Stations of the Cross guide visitors on foot from just North of the church, all the way up to the chapel. From the sky, this journey appears to be not much more than a casual hike, but the hill can prove to be a formidable challenge to all but the most physically fit.

They were men of many tales and friends to all who knew them. RIP Junior and Larry!!!

In January 1908, Mrs. Louisa Schoenman sold her cheese factory, which she had managed since her husband’s death on September 2, 1899. Charles A. Bremmer was the purchaser. Frank Nachreiner took possession of the factory on November 1, 1913, for his son, Silas. William S. Walsh acquired the property in March 1917. Emil Diehl purchased the factory on March 1, 1920, and sold it to Christ Meixelsperger in October 1925. Christ Meixelsperger met his death in a car accident on August 4, 1927. His brother Tony took over the management of the factory. In October 1947, the factory was sold to Vincent Meixelsperger who remodeled it into a four-unit apartment building. In February 1977, the Vincent Meixelsperger apartment building was purchased by Richard and Carol Meixelsperger. Info from “A History of Plain, Wisconsin” by Hildegarde Thering, page 50.
