We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the community for their very generous contributions whether it is monitory or artifacts.
Please consider volunteering!
“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.” ~Elizabeth Andrew
There are so many more things that the OFTHS would be able to do, not only in the museum but events that the community would be able to enjoy similar to many years ago events. Such as the Chili Suppers and “Swing With the Bands.” We had an awesome time sponsoring these events plus with the attendance I am sure the community also enjoyed socializing with people at these events. The reason we had to stop those wonderful events is that we no longer have people power to carry out these events.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” ~ Helen Keller
We could use new ideas for future events and extra hands to carry them out. We realize that many people are already very busy volunteering for church events and other things, which has always been a very important part of each person’s life and that of the life of the community. We don’t want to take away from that. If you can find the time to consider volunteering a few hours a month that would be wonderful. Consider attending the OFTHS meetings on the second Monday of each month at 10 a.m. with some exceptions. At these meetings we could discuss and receive feedback.
